No formal teaching experience is required. We look for strong subject-matter knowledge, enthusiasm for working with kids, and a willingness to learn the RaiseTheStars AI-proof methodology through our tutor onboarding package.
Tutor compensation ranges from $35–$80 CAD per class, depending on class size (private through group of 5). Actual earnings depend on your class load and how many sessions you run each week.
Sessions take place in-person at host homes. Group classes run across multiple host families based on coordination between parents and tutors.
Our courses span Life Sciences, Engineering, Coding, and the broader AI-proof curriculum for students in Grades 5–12. All lesson plans, materials, and the full course pack are provided.
After onboarding and training, our platform matches you with local students and parent-built classes based on your location, availability, course strengths, and the families' goals.
Students are curious Grade 5–12 learners whose parents have signed up through our parent onboarding to future-proof their kids against the AI shift. Many join through the Star Scholarship and Class Builder referral programs.
Yes. Every tutor completes identity verification and a background check before being matched with any student.
